Our Onesleeptest requires minimal prep. Once you've ordered and received your ResMed Onesleeptest, download the NightOwl^® companion app, follow the instructions, and go about your bedtime routine as you usually would.

A Onesleeptest ranges from one to a few nights.

Different Onesleeptests will take different times to complete. ResMed Onesleeptest only requires 3 nights of data for an accurate result.

You can order and complete the Onesleeptest from the comfort of your own bed. We'll need you to use it for 3 successful nights for us to get an accurate result. It's okay if you struggle the first night, the app can capture additional nights of sleep data.

Once you have your Onesleeptest, you'll need to download the NightOwl^® companion app. The app will guide you through every step. 

Once you're ready for your test, prepare for sleep as you usually would. The only difference is you'll need to attach the sensor to your fingertip and start recording using the app before you fall asleep. 

Take the sensor off in the morning, and repeat this process for an additional two nights. After recording 3 successful nights of data, our team of sleep physicians will take a look. You'll receive your results within 3-5 working days after that. That's just over a week away if you order your home sleep test now!

Once you've completed your Onesleeptest, you'll receive an email within 3-5 working days with a link to your sleep physician-certified report.

After you receive your results, we encourage you to book a review with a ResMed Sleep Coach* online or give us a call on 1800 103 3969. They'll be happy to discuss your results that a certified sleep physician has assessed, and advise what you can do to improve your sleep. You can also contact your preferred GP for further assistance.

Besides the difference in location, an overnight sleep test in a hospital or lab involves lots of preparation, wires and setup. It’ll provide more data including brain waves, skeletal muscle activity, and eye movement. For an overnight sleep test, you’ll also need a GP referral to complete an overnight sleep study in a lab or hospital.
